Fitnity ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Fitnity mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

By using Fitnity, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide directly:

• Name, email address, phone number, and profile photo when you create an account
• Payment information (processed securely by Razorpay — we do not store card numbers)
• Photos, videos, and text you post in the community feed
• Messages you send to fitness providers via in-app chat
• Ratings and reviews you submit

b) Information collected automatically:

• Location data (city and GPS coordinates) to show nearby fitness facilities — only when you grant permission
• Health and fitness data including steps, calories burned, active minutes, and heart rate — only when you grant permission via Apple Health (iOS) or Google Fit (Android)
• Device identifiers, operating system version, and app version
• Push notification token (for sending you booking confirmations and reminders)
• App usage data: screens visited, features used, session duration
• QR code check-in records for attendance tracking

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To process bookings and payments
• To show you fitness facilities near your location
• To display your fitness metrics, streaks, and progress dashboard
• To record and display your attendance history
• To send you booking confirmations, reminders, and important updates via push notification or email
• To enable chat between you and fitness providers
• To moderate user-generated content in the community feed
• To process refunds and resolve disputes
• To improve and personalise the Service
• To comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services We Use

• Razorpay — Payment processing. Your payment data is governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) — Secure cloud storage for photos and videos you upload.
• Firebase (Google) — Push notification delivery via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
• Apple Health / Google Fit — Health data integration. Data is read only when you explicitly grant permission and is never shared with third parties.
• Google Maps — Location services for displaying maps and nearby venues.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. Health Data

If you connect Apple Health or Google Fit, Fitnity reads health metrics (steps, calories, heart rate, active minutes) solely to display your personal fitness dashboard. This data is:

• Never shared with fitness providers or other users
• Never used for advertising purposes
• Never sold to any third party
• Deletable at any time by revoking Health permissions in your device settings

5. Location Data

We request location access to show you fitness facilities near you. Location is used only while the app is in use (foreground). We do not track your location in the background. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

6. User-Generated Content

Photos, videos, and posts you share in the Fitnity community feed are visible to other users. Do not share content that includes sensitive personal information. You can delete your posts at any time from within the app.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., payment records for up to 7 years as required by Indian tax law).

8. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update incorrect or incomplete information from your profile settings
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt-out: Disable push notifications from your device settings at any time
• Data portability: Request an export of your data in a structured format

9. Children's Privacy

Fitnity is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, JWT-based authentication, and encrypted storage on AWS. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
